The Company runs this learning platform for its courses. This notice explains what we collect about you, why, who can see it, where it is kept and for how long. We handle your data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• Your name, email address and phone number, from your enrolment.
• Your attendance: the name you join Google Meet with, when you joined and for how long, and whether you clicked the join link.
• Your coursework: assignment files and links, quiz answers, grades, feedback and scores.
• Sign-in records and a log of changes to your enrolment and scores.

Why

To run your course: to sign you in, send you class times and reminders, take attendance, mark your work, work out your score against the course rubric and decide whether you complete the course.

Who can see it

• The course team and the tutors who teach your classes.
• Your classmates see only your first name and the first letter of your surname, and your LinkedIn link if you choose to share it. Never your email, phone, attendance or scores.
• Law enforcement or a relevant regulator, if they ask for it lawfully, for regulatory purposes or a legal investigation. We are required to provide it.

Where it is kept

The platform and its database run on Google Cloud in London, United Kingdom. Files and class recordings are kept in Google Drive, meetings run on Google Meet, and emails are sent through Resend. Keeping your data outside Nigeria is a cross-border transfer; we use these providers because they protect data to a standard at least equal to Nigerian law.

How long

We keep your data for up to 7 years after your course ends, then delete it. Class recordings are deleted sooner, after 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it or limit how we use it, or object to how we use it, unless the law requires us to keep it. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
